Is the greed of technology butchering your life?

"Is the greed of technology butchering your life?"

There was a time, when people had this habit of jotting down their emotions and list of things that had happened to them on a piece of paper. This reminds us about the nostalgic thing called Diary. However, I think it was one of those early marketing gimmicks to sell your dreams to yourself in a more logical manner. It gave birth to journals, it spread like a fire, and frankly, we embraced it happily.

The brutality of temptation has a bittersweet element that triggers peculiar essence in our lives. I too wanted a diary to write and to ask someone to write about what people feel about me. Fortunately, having too many people around me was not my scene back in those days. Due to involvement in extra curricular activities, I had to be around people irrespective, but it was just for the time until we were along doing various acts. Namely, dance competitions, sports, skits, role-play. Deep down I was a shy kid.

The one of the first earliest find for me was about days, when I heard my father playing a stereo that had a cassette slot and an option to play radio along with it. We had a shop connected with our house. I was five years old. It was one of those thrilling experiences of my life, which I still cherish in my 30’s. Moreover, I remember as if it was yesterday. Being the youngest in the family had its edge until my eldest sister was married and as she delivered. I was not scoring much, as focus had shifted. Darn, its a wild world.

Television till-date has not attracted me much, just as much radio has and it still tops the list by far and I feel its one of the best gifts of technology to human.

I strongly agree other gadget that helps you to do various things that may be beneficial but I would like to share few points with you folks.

The New Planet called Internet and the world of its own.

You have 1000 friends wishing you happy birthday on the web or getting a hug in a real life.  The touch is missing of humanity, but you love it anyway, so good for you.

4700 followers retweets as you just tweet “What a wonderful world?” Yet loneliness still haunts you, when you can’t communicate (hear+talk+listen) with your loved ones who is with at your workplace or around your surrounding who needs you more than anything else, perhaps illusion drives you miles and delivers higher recognition, but is this all you need?

One million views on your video post, now that is viral is not it.
Can this capture the thrill of you walking with your memories around your school or brisk walk under the moon with the peace that ignites your heart with self less love?

In this age of iPhones, iPads and with this high rush of technologies aren’t we missing our days when we used to use postal services to wish our loved ones?  The days of love letters, as the postman was the hero and true messenger who used to narrow the gap of distance with their slow yet effective services. It has charm and connectivity of heart, the warmth and fragrance of time that nothing can still replicate the thrills of it.

My sentiments exactly! Nothing to beat imagination. What is the fun of sending cards with words someone else wrote for you, and that too in the electronic form? This is the time of universal laziness and super-duper marketing gimmicks.
